The role of ICP-OES instrument is to determine the concentration of certain elements in the sample of interest. The main advantage of ICP-OES over the AAS technique is its multielemental capabilities. Also we can carry out organic samples like lubricating oils and solvents on the same instrument.  Sample can be scanned qualitatively and based on qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis of the sample can also be done.
